Many people who suffer from constipation are convinced they must use a laxative. However, there are many home remedies which provide constipation relief on a natural way. Laxatives, like all other medications can cause several more or less severe side effects and eventually lead to dependence. For that reason you are highly recommended to try natural and completely safe constipation treatment first.

If you have been already seeking for medical advice or done some research on the Internet you probably already know that in most cases constipation relief can be achieved with change of lifestyle and healthy diet. Foods high in fibers, increased intake of fluid and regular exercise are in most cases the most effective and the safest treatments for constipation relief.

  • Spinach juice is one of the best home remedies for constipation relief. Drink two cups a day.
  • Apple juice is one of the most popular home remedies for constipation. Drink 3 cups of fresh apple juice a day. Instead of apple juice you can also drink pineapple, papaya or pear juice.

There are many more home remedies which are claimed to be very effective for constipation such as garlic, abdominal massage, olive oil, flaxseed oil, etc. Whichever remedy you choose do not forget to drink a lot of fluid – at least 6 to 8 glasses a day and to be adequately physically active. If you believe you have problems with constipation because of some other reasons you should consult with your health provider.
